IKG Industries traces its roots to Irving Iron Works - the "I" in IKG - which opened its doors in New York City in 1902. The first steel grating products were designed and manufactured in 1912 for use as sidewalk vents for the New York City Subway System. The new flooring product was aptly termed "Subway Grating" and a new industry was born.

Today, IKG Industries is one of the world's leading manufacturers and fabricators of high quality steel, aluminum and fiberglass grating. Bar Grating has many applications, but it is used primarily as industrial flooring because it can support heavy loads while allowing for ventilation and the passage of light.

IKG is strategically located for all the industries that we serve domestically and for easy export. This means shorter transit time and lower freight charges. All options of transportation are open for shipment of an order -  water, truck, rail, or even air should the need arise.

CORGRATE® is an open grid assembly either produced in a mold, or of various reinforced fiberglass shapes produced by a pultrusion process and assembled with cross bars to achieve the desired spacing. CorGrate® as flooring is just one of its many uses. Its adaptability and strength make it well suited for use as catwalks, stairs, platforms, grates, grills, fencing, vaults and trench covers, transformer and machinery safe guards, wash racks, ventilation screens, and many more applications.
